Ghanaian musician, Zigi of ‘You Say Weytin’ fame known in real life as Kweku Sarpong Plahar has revealed that the management of sensational dancehall artiste, Ebony charged him GHC 7,000 to feature on the remix of his 2012 hit song, ‘U Say Weytin’.
The 29-year-old who has been off the music scene for some time is hoping to revive his music career with the remix of the song which won him the Afro Pop Song of the Year at the 2012 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The rapper who took to his social media page to give details about the song indicated that Ebony and her management refused to be on the song because he couldn’t meet their price of 7,000 cedis.
Zigi who parted ways with his record label Lynx Entertainment has been unable to get back to the top of the music scene since then and is hoping to make a strong comeback.
According to Zigi, the ‘U Say Weytin’ remix which features Kofi Kinaata and Gasmilla took him two years to complete and was produced by 3 different producers namely Paynekilla, Bonze Beats and Beatz Dakay.
