As part of her legacy and the official garment for her final funeral rites, the management and family of late dancehall songstress, Ebony Reigns have unveiled three clothes.
At the unveiling ceremony held on Saturday at the Westhills Mall, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, the father of the late Dancehall diva entreated the entire populace to purchase the cloth and use it on any occasion for the memory of his lovely superstar daughter to live on.
“It’s unfortunate we are here today not for anything, to launch funeral clothes of my daughter, the queen, Ebony. How sad it is. It’s very unfortunate if you ask me but I guess we have no option. We are here to launch the clothes, they are beautiful to see. You’ll admire them for sure. It is in to stay, so to speak. And we recommend that for every occasion, patronize so that Ebony will forever reign. It is your support that will make this come through” the teary father said while urging the public to “patronize everything that is from the family, Bullet and co.”
Speaking about the clothes, Ricky Nana Agyemang (Bullet) said it is like a dream come true since the ‘Kupe’ crooner always wanted something of the sort.
“We are doing this for Ebony Reigns. When she was alive, she was always with me. She told me most of the things she wanted to do. She wanted to have ‘Ntoma Collections’ because all the other musicians had casual wears. So it’s like a dream come through,” He said.
The clothes are named after her songs: Maame Hw3 and Aseda. ‘Maame Hwe’ comes in two different types while ‘Aseda’ is black and white.
The final funeral rites and burial service for Ebony will be held on March 24 at the forecourt of the State House in Accra. This will however be preceded by a tribute musical concert organised by MUSIGA, Rufftown Records, Ministory of Tourism, Arts and Culture and Kasapreko Company Limited in memory of the artiste which would be held on Friday, March 23.
