Ghanaian gospel musician, Brother Sammy has alleged that renowned singer and prophetess, Cecilia Marfo had teamed up with Ernest Opoku to destroy him.
According to the singer, he first decided to be mute on the issue but God has now touched himto address the matter.
It could be recalled that in November 2017, it was reported that Cecilia Marfo subjected Brother Sammy to a hefty slap during a powerful deliverance session at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.
In the video which went viral on social media, the renowned prophetess was seen removing quite a number of fashionable necklaces from the neck of Brother Sammy. She was captured warning him of some ungodly acts into which he was involved.
However, the singer in an interview recently with a US-based Ghanaian community radio revealed that, he suspects that his deliverance session with Cecilia Marfo was staged to disgrace him. Brother Sammy insisted that, Cecilia Marfo and another gospel artiste, Ernest Opoku planned the whole embarrassing deliverance session to tarnish his image and bring his brand into disrepute, since he is a big threat to them in the gospel industry. “I didn’t want to talk about this issue but I’m glad God has now given me the chance to clear the air. In this world people are envious of the one who’s always seen going higher. Cecilia Marfo invited me to her show to perform but I got to realized that it was a planned thing to disgrace me,” he said.
The worship singer stressed that, if Cecilia Marfo had a clean intention she would have addressed him in a more decent manner during the deliverance. “Cecilia Marfo called me in front of the audience to slap me and tear my chain but because I respected God so much I didn’t retaliate. Even if it is true that you’ve seen something about me, is that the best way to say it? So if Otabil sees something about Duncan Williams, will Otabil slap Duncan Williams as a form of deliverance”? Brother Sammy lamented.
The singer also accused that, “Because she is a worshiper and I’m also a worshiper, she is trying all means to bring me down. After disgracing me in front of the audience, she took to the stage to dance with Ernest Opoku as a way to mock me.”
