Ghanaians Denied Me An Opportunity To Host CAF Awards – Juliet Ibrahim

There seems to be more than we already know about the recently held CAF Awards with new developments coming up everyday. The latest on the issue has to do with Actress and Producer, Juliet Ibrahim who has hinted that she was supposed to host the show alongside football star, Didier Drogba.

In a thread of twitter posts, Juliet Ibrahim revealed that she was also snubbed by organizers of the event because Ghanaians who were contacted claimed they did not know how to reach her.

“I’ll speak from a personal experience; apparently, the organizers came down to Accra and asked a few of the Ghanaians they know for my contact because they wanted me to host alongside Didier Drogba. But, when they were asked, they replied with “oh we don’t know her number” she tweeted.

According to her, the organizers of the show who tried further to get in touch with her but could not get to her had to choose another person to host the show although they wanted her to do so based on her past glories with the most revered Sports Awards on the African Continent.

“This response allowed the organizers to fly in a South African host to co-host with Didier. Only for me to bump into one of the organizers on 3rd January and he narrated all that went down to me. It was now too late to put me on the bill to co-host. Life goes on…”.

A school of thought on social media however asked questions as to why the organizers of the award do not have the actress’ contact since she had participated in previous editions of the award. Some also questioned why CAF could not get in touch with her via her social media handles but such questions remain unanswered for now.
