Kalybos And Ahuof3 Patri Make Ghana Proud In London

Ghanaian comic actor Richard Asante known popularly as Kalybos and actress Priscilla Opoku Agyeman also known as Ahuof3 Patri have been honoured with in an Award in London during the first Black British Entertainment Awards for their contribution to the Arts.

The Black British Entertainment Awards was held at the iconic Porchester Hall on December 16, 2017 to celebrate the brightest and most creative new faces in the United Kingdom’s growing Black Entertainment Industry together with some established UK and International stars.

For the past four years, Kalybos and his ‘Babe’, Ahuof3 Patri dominated the Ghanaian creative space with their humour-packed ‘Boys Kasa’ comedy skits series. Their creativity and compatibility won for them roles in several other movies including John and John, Coco Brown, Dooor 2 Door and many others.

The maiden edition of the Black British Entertainment Awards built on the theme ‘celebrating the true definition of black excellence,’ showcased an array of creative talents across all areas of entertainment ranging from comedy, fashion, film, music, spoken word through to dance.

Honours were also given to Young Achievers and children who have impacted the entertainment industry on both a national and international level. Among some of the shortlisted nominees include Tinie Tempah, Farouk James, Michael Dapaah, and Joshua Beckford and more.

Some guests who graced the event included Lemn Sissay MBE, Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE, Johnny Nelson, Lisa Maffia, Chi-chi Nwanoku OBE and Andrew Ramroop OBE and many more..
