Nominees For Volta Music Awards Released, Voting Begins

The 2018 Volta Music Awards has been officially launched at the Skyplus Hotel – Ho on Saturday, February 3, 2018.

The event which was organised by Eventic GH under the watch of the Volta regional branch of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) saw the unveiling of the official plaque and nominees for the Volta Music Awards.

At the occasion which was chaired by Mr. Anthony Dogbatse, the Volta Regional chairman of MUSIGA, 91 entries were announced in the 27 categories covered by this year’s edition which marks the prime edition of the awards.

 

In as speech by Julius Boglo, the President of Eventic GH, about 119 entries were received but some were disqualified for errors beyond consideration. According to him, there shall be 40% vote  by the board and 60% by the public in determining the winners of the grand awards.

The event received maximum attendance from musicians, producers, record owners, media personalities as well as lovers of entertainment in General.

The main Volta Music Award 2018 ceremony is scheduled for 10th March, 2018 at the HO Technical University auditorium with performances by great talents from the region.
