Ghanaian rapper and controversial musician, Yaa Pono has said he has played the highest number of shows among his peers in the just ended year.

According to the Tema-based rapper who was speaking in an interview with Kenneth Addo on 3FM, he was booked for close to 300 shows with his popular diss song Gbee Nabu and that he was more successfully that any other artistes in that regard.

The Amen hitmaker also shared his thoughts on the forthcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, saying that he’s not bothered by the fact that he was not nominated under the VGMA best rapper category.

He explained that the situation is only to challenge him to push harder and come out with better songs that Ghanaians will dance to. He is also optimistic that his latest album ‘Faster Than Gods’ will help him win the Best Album Of The Year as well as Best Rapper Of The Year at next year’s VGMAs.
