In a recent interview with radio personality Abeiku Santana on ‘Atuu’ shown on UTV, award winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale spoke on a variety of topics ranging from family, his beef with co-dancehall arts – Samini and Stonebwoy and him being the ‘Saviour’ of the music industry.
Speaking about his long raging feud with Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale explained that he has nothing against the ‘Hero’ hitmaker except that he has failed to acknowledge that he (Shatta Wale) is the rightful owner of the BET Award for Best African Act which Stonebwoy won in 2015. ”He (Stonebwoy) knew deeply in his heart that the award is mine’‘ he said during the interview.
He added that, he’s the biggest music act in the country and that the BET selection team in Ghana got it wrong.
On the subject of Samini, he expressed his profound respect for him. His beef was strictly for business reasons since they both could have used the moment to release a joint record for the fans. He accused Samini of not realizing that but rather choosing to attack him during interviews. ‘’Samini didn’t see the business side of the whole beef at that moment’’. He however confirmed they are exploring options of releasing a project together.
The ‘Forget Dem’ hitmaker surfaced on the dancehall scene in 2013 and has since grown into arguably the biggest artist in Ghana with a chain of hit records.
