The Power Distribution Service (PDS) has been suggested to shed load at varied Bulk Supply Points to guarantee system stability in Ghana’s energy distribution.
A request by Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) disclosed in a press launch as we speak stated due to the development of the highway interchange on the ACP Junction, Pokuase, the capability of the transmission community shall be restricted.
The assertion signed by GRIDCo’s Head of Public Relations, Albert Kwasi Quainoo added that the development has taken out of service the 330kV Aboadze-Tema transmission line traversing the highway to allow the contractor to divert the facility line.
GRIDCo anticipates that the development works could be accomplished by Tuesday, March 19, 2019.
“GRIDCo has accordingly advised Power Distribution Services (PDS) to redistribute loads at various Bulk Supply Points to ensure system stability. This may result in outages to some electricity consumers,” the assertion stated.
“It is anticipated that the diversion works would be completed by Tuesday, March 19, 2019”.
